Situation:
The cottage is about 300ft above sea level on a plateau between the cliffs and the sea facing S.W. There is one field in front of it at present set aside for corncrakes. There are beautiful panoramic views from Ulva to Iona. Behind the cottage runs the road with an area of woodland before the cliffs rising 200-300ft.
Description:
The Cottage has accommodation for four people. We do not take children under twelve. Pets by arrangement only. Open all year.
The two double en-suite bedrooms are at each end of the cottage separated by the living-room/kitchen and the sun room, all on the ground floor. One bedroom has two single beds, the other a standard double bed. All bedding and pillows are provided but you need to bring bottom sheets, duvet covers, pillow cases and towels.
The kitchen living room has a fully fitted kitchen with fridge, dishwasher, sink overlooking the garden, hob, extractor and oven. There is storage for food and all kitchen ware is provided including toaster and electric kettle. There is a chest freezer in the byre.
There is a bed -settee, wood burning stove and TV, telephone and broadband. The sunroom is used as a dining room with seating for four, easy chairs, a sideboard, desk, coffee table etc. All flooring is laminate except the bedroom with the twin beds. The sun room has panoramic views facing south west from Ulva to Iona. There are double doors leading to a patio with seating and picnic table.
Heating is by panel heaters, night stores and underfloor heating. The water is filtered highland spring water.
The garden is fenced, mostly lawn, the drive has room for 3 to 4 cars. Please keep the gate closed to stop the sheep getting in.
